Marlboro College
Marlboro College, located in Marlboro, Vermont, is a Co-educational, residential, private, liberal arts college that was founded in 1946 by Walter Hendricks. Marlboro encourages its students to be independent by allowing them to plan their own study programs and to act responsibly in a self-governing community. Marlboro College received the highest Academic rating possible in the 2013 edition of The Princeton Review’s “Best 376 Colleges.”
How Is The Campus Life?
Marlboro College is more of a community rather than a campus and decisions are all made during town meetings where students, faculty, and staff all have an equal vote. With 70% of the student body living on campus, Marlboro students take direct lead in creating cultural activities for the campus with plays, dance performances, concerts, and lectures. Athletic activities at Marlboro are organized by the Recreation Program, and range from organized sports to relatively untidy but thoroughly enjoyable events.

Nearly 70% of Marlboro’s graduates go onto further study and attend graduate school.Most frequently attended institutions include Antioch New England, Harvard, Columbia, The University of Vermont, and Yale. Graduates of Marlboro College have pursued advanced degrees from the Marlboro College Graduate School and, with a B average or higher, are eligible to receive a grant equivalent to fifty percent of the tuition.
